General information

Rigging Screw, Tensioner, Turnbuckle, Bottle Screws

Traditional style rigging screw body. Manufactured from high quality 316 grade solid stainless steel bar which is then polished to a mirror finish.

Also called turnbuckles, rigging screws, tensioners, bottlescrews or adjusters.

Bronze thread inserts are used on all turnbuckles sized 3/4' and above, to eliminate the possibility of thread seizure.

All raw materials used to manufacture these turnbuckle parts are certified to EN102043.1b

Normally used with locknuts.

Turnbuckles are available in a variety of combinations. Also available with Marine Bodies or Open Bodies. Please call for details.

Turnbuckles are most commonly used in applications which require a great deal of tension; they can range in mass from about ten grams for thin cable used in a garden fence, to thousands of kilograms for structural elements in buildings and suspension bridges.

Turnbuckles are also used for tensioning a ship's rigging and lashings. This device is also known as a bottle screw in this context
