General Information
Forged Marine Shackles, Stainless Steel
High quality polished 316 grade 1.4401 stainless steel marine shackles.
Shackles are for linking two components, and consequently play an essential role in terms of safety.
Comprehensive range of D, Dee, Bow, Long, Wide, Twisted shackles available in a wide range of sizes and variations.
Bow shackles
Can take loads from different directions and are perfectly suited for rigging due to their geometric shape.
D shackles
Have a straight-legged shape that is optimized for two directions of pull, ideal for connecting pieces of gear together.
Twist shackles
Are perfect for when you need to rotate your load and don't want to use two connectors.

Manufacture
Manufactured in the UK. This means we can trace any shackle right back to material source and provide material/mill certificates relative to the materials used for that part.
Testing and certification with stamping for all marine shackles is available - Please see below.

Testing & Certification
Stainless Steel Shackles Tested & Certified To BS EN 10203 3.1b

Once Tested, they are individually marked with a batch reference number and a Safe Working Load (SWL). A certificate will be issued.
Tested shackles will comply with lifting equipment regulations.
Temperature Tolerances
Stainless steel shackles can be used across a broad temperature range, although this will effect the safe working load of you shackle.
Please consult the table below for temperature tolerances or call us for advice.

Super Duplex Stainless Steel
In instances where superior corrosion resistance is required shackles can be manufactured to order in super duplex stainless steel.
Safety critical applications such as the offshore industries may require marine fittings and shackles in super duplex stainless steel.
